“THE RISE AND FALL OF THE CLASH: REDUX”

The 2012 Chip Baker produced film, “The Rise and Fall of The Clash” is taking on a new life with a new edit, a Redux of sorts, and a re-release with theatrical screenings being set up on a global level.

This fresh new edit of the film “The Rise and Fall of The Clash”, Directed by Acclaimed Filmmaker Danny Garcia chronicles the legendary group’s disintegration after they wowed audiences while touring the USA opening for The Who on their 1982 gigantic stadium tour. The Clash were on their way to being a smashing success all over the world!

While the story of The Clash has been covered in the world’s media many times, this particular part of their history has never been told before.

It is one of the most shocking chapters of the 1980’s music industry and Punk Rock lore. The Clash unraveled during the band’s “Cut The Crap” album era, becoming a true rock ‘n’ roll tragedy.

This film contains interviews with those that were there including: Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Terry Chimes, Viv Albertine, Tymon Dogg, Mickey Gallagher, Pearl Harbour, Barry Myers, Vince White, Nick Sheppard, Pete Howard, Vic Goddard, Norman Watt-Roy, Kris Needs, Jack Scot as well as dynamic live Clash performance footage and the infamous music from that interesting time period; when The Clash, once dubbed “The only band that matters”, ceased to matter.

If you are a fan of The Clash, “The Rise and Fall of The Clash: Redux” is the only film that matters!
