The John Lodge Celebration: An Evening Of Moody Blues Magic

John Lodge was the bass guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the iconic Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2018 inductees, The Moody Blues. Songwriter of such mega hits from “Ride My See-Saw,” to “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band),” “Isn’t Life Strange” and many more.

Following his sad passing in October last year, his son-in-law Jon Davison (of YES) and long-term collaborator Alan Hewitt (keyboards for The Moody Blues band), came together to create a unique concert to honor John, his life, and the iconic music of The Moody Blues – with the goal to touch hearts, spread happiness, and celebrate what John always described as “the soundtrack of his life.”

This extraordinary concert, performed by John’s own band and led by Alan and Jon, captures a rare magic by seamlessly weaving archival vocals and footage of John into a live set performed by the musicians who were by his side for the last ten years. Earning rave critical reviews and ecstatic fan acclaim since its premiere, this breathtaking technical feat creates an incredibly powerful, spiritual atmosphere where it is as if John is performing in perfect harmony with his band.

Continuing in how John’s tours honored all of his bandmates, Jon Davison brings his beautiful, soaring vocals to legendary songs such as “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon.” The show also includes tributes to Graeme Edge, Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder.

John always wanted audiences to leave his shows with joy in their hearts – and that is exactly what this unforgettable night delivers.
