Hope Rocks Festival Takes place at Bearsville Theater for 2026
The annual Hope Rocks Festival, which was created in response to the epidemic of death from addiction, depression and social isolation, has been moved to the iconic Bearsville Theater on Saturday, September 26.
In a move to consolidate costs and maximize presence, the Hope Rocks Festival will be held at the iconic Bearsville Theater, home of some of the greatest moments in music history. “Bearsville represents so much history and has hosted some of the most recognizable names in the music industry,” said Hope Rocks president and founder Joe Defino. ‘Though we are sad to not be able to host this event in Saugerties, we could not be happier to have partnered with Bearsville for this year’s event.”
“We have put together a lineup worthy of the Bearsville Stage and are certain this is a day which will inspire and celebrate the power of recovery and wellness,” Defino reported. Included in this year’s festival lineup are Gail; Ann Dorsey, Brian Mitchell, Jim Weider, American Nomads, Dave Kolker Band, I Got A Rock, Carolyn Marosy, Orangatwins, Circus of Wolves, The Carrie Zazz Band and Grammy Award Winner, Mike Farris.
Farris just celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Screamin Cheetah Wheelies release of Magnolia which was recorded at Bearsville Studios. The Wheelies reunited for a series of sold out shows in Nashville and New York City to celebrate this milestone. Farris is also a member of the Hope Rocks Advisory Board and is 11 years clean and sober.
Hope Rocks, Inc., a 501 c3 not-for-profit, was created to promote and celebrate recovery from addictions, depression, as well as social and emotional roadblocks to fully living a life of potential and self-discovery. This festival was created to address and respond to these issues in a safe, community-based, stigma free environment using music and arts as the conduit for healing and understanding. Along with musical acts, there will be presentations by experts in these areas, as well as testimonials sharing the power of hope and the potential for recovery from these deadly afflictions which kill tens of thousands each year.
