Little Bear – Milton Glaser was one of the most important American graphic designers of the 20th and early 21st centuries. He designed the I (heart) NY and many other well-known visual icons, including all the early Bearsville graphics. Milton and his wife Shirley encouraged Albert Grossman to set up his Utopian musical empire in Woodstock. Glaser’s beloved Little Bear graphic was created in the 1970’s for Albert’s Chinese restaurant in Bearsville and is still in use today.
