“John Prine: How Lucky Can One Man Get” Film Screening

 

“How Lucky Can One Man Get,” directed by music video veteran Jim Shea, is a finely crafted documentary featuring previously unreleased footage of beloved singer-songwriter John Prine performing a benefit show at his hometown high school in 2010. In equally compelling offstage segments, Prine shares reminiscences about his upbringing in Maywood, Illinois, and reflects on his roots as they were shaped by his close-knit family and the music they shared. Much more than a standard concert film, “How Lucky” reveals the heart and generosity of one of our era’s greatest musical talents.
