Weekends at Bearsville! Jazz Brunch , 11am-3pm at Bearsville Theater by the banks of the Sawkill Creek.

We do ask for a small cover charge. Too often, local musicians are paid poorly (or not at all and expected to work for tips). We are leading the fight to pay for musicians a decent amount for their contribution. Respect our Musicians and Keep Music Alive!!

Live music from:

Tamuz Nissim 12:00 noon.

Born in Tel Aviv Israel, Vocalist, pianist and composer Tamuz Nissim has been living and performing in NYC for the last seven years. She performs in International Jazz Festivals gaining the love of music lovers and Jazz aficionados alike.

Her latest albums Capturing Clouds (2020), “Echo of a Heartbeat” (2018), Liquid Melidies (2017) received rave reviews from the Jazz press. “Capturing Clouds” charted on The Roots Radio Charts for 12 weeks peaking at #6 , at NAAC Radio Charts peaking at #12. “Echo of a Heartbeat” charted on the JazzWeek charts. Both albums are still being played in more than a 100 radio stations around the USA, Canada, South America, Japan, Europe, Africa, Australia and Israel.

“A real boundary pusher that scores high marks.” Midwest Record (Capturing clouds 2020)

“Tamuz Nissim’s third release and it is a gem! She has a beautiful voice, outstanding control, she can scat with the best of any era and on top of that, she tosses in some knock out vocalese that would put the icing on any cake!”Dave Rogers WTJU

“Miss Nissim’s instrument is gorgeous, lustrous, precise, high-sprung and light as a feather-light. Her musicianship is fierce as she digs into the expression of each word, brings ceaseless variety of soft dynamics and gives every phrase a lustrous grace.” Raul DaGama

We at Bearsville Theater are concerned about safety and have been closely watching the spread of the Delta variant of Covid. We strongly urge everyone to become vaccinated if they have not already done so. And once again, we must ask guests to wear their masks at all times when inside the theater and not seated, eating or drinking. We relay live music outside into our Parkland area, where there is ample seating, should you prefer to listen to the music maskless.

We will continue with our current indoor testing policy, which now applies to EVERY event. We ask for proof of full vaccination and ID prior to entry.
