Weekends at Bearsville. AMERICANA BBQ every Saturday 12.00-5.30pm at Bearsville Park and the Iconic Bearsville Theater by the banks of the Sawkill Creek. We do ask for a small cover charge. Too often, local musicians are paid poorly (or not at all and expected to work for tips). We are leading the fight to pay musicians a decent amount for their contributions. RIP & The Sleepy Hollow Boys 1:00 – 3:00pm.
Rip and the Sleepy Hollow Boys’ genre-bending songs and stories pull from the rich and deep musical and lyrical traditions of bluegrass, country, and the blues. Sometimes called classic country, retro country, outlaw country, or country rock, the band pays homage to the outlaws like Willie, Waylon and the boys and the traditionalists of the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The band is lead by Rich O’Hanley, an American roots singer/songer writer, whose songs blend traditional themes of drinkin’, cheatin’, drinkin’ and cheatin’, love both lost and found, mother, truck drivin’, trains, life on the road, forgiveness, and redemption into contemporary commentary. (Sorry, no songs about driving a new Silverado with 20″ custom wheels and a cooler of Lone Star down a dirt road to a local creek to skinny dip with some jail bait in Daisy Dukes and a crop top.)

Bunkhouse Boys 3:00 – 5:00pm.
Bunkhouse Boys play Cajun waltzes and two-steps, with rhythms evoking the early days of S.W. Louisiana Cajun music. This compact group takes their music back to the basics, close to its Creole and Cajun roots. The Bunkhouse Boys’ Creole-inspired rhythms keep dancers coming back for more. Their latest recording T’it Oiseau has been getting air time on KRVS Louisiana Public Radio! Their repertoire continues to expand with tunes you won’t hear anywhere else.

We at Bearsville Theater are concerned about safety and have been closely watching the spread of the Delta variant of Covid. We strongly urge everyone to become vaccinated if they have not already done so. And once again, we must ask guests to wear their masks at all times when inside the theater and not seated, eating or drinking. We relay live music outside into our Parkland area, where there is ample seating, should you prefer to listen to the music maskless.
We will continue with our current policy, which now applies to EVERY event. We ask for proof of full vaccination and ID prior to entry.
