Woodstock & Bearsville Center Rock Tour. Seasonal Tour – April through October

Presented by Rock Junket Tours & Bearsville Center.

April 2023 – Saturdays 2pm & Sundays 11am.

Great 2 1/2 hour music-focused tour around the quiet town of Woodstock, NY and Bearsville Center.  Rock Junket’s popular walking tour of Woodstock, NY is better than ever with exciting new additions!

Begin your tour at the new Cafe Espresso, where you can grab a cup of coffee and some pastry while soaking up the atmosphere in the original site where Bob Dylan hung out in the 60’s.  See the infamous “White Room” where Dylan composed legendary songs, then we explore the small town with the loud history on a light, flat walk.  Hear stories, see album covers and famous photograph sites, historic venues and final resting places of Woodstock Legends.  Then follow along down the country road for a short drive to Bearsville Center (1/4 mile) and tour the restored historic Bearsville Theater, Todd Rundgren’s Utopia Studio and stroll Bearsville Park. Hang at Bearsville Center after your tour and see a show, have dinner at Bear Cafe or get a drink at this vibrant spot, where the Woodstock music began.

Highlights of the tour include sites related to:

Bob Dylan, The Band, Janis Joplin, Todd Rundgren, Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, final resting places and more!!

Tour starts at CAFE ESPRESSO,  59 Tinker St. (park in the Comeau Drive free parking lot, entrance across from Woodstock Police station at 76 Tinker St.)

Tour ends at Bearsville Center, 291 Tinker St.  (Guests must provide their own transportation from the village of Woodstock to Bearsville Center-one road, 4 minutes, free parking.)

Total duration:  approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Tour day/time:  Saturdays 2pm.  Sundays 11am.

**Note that the 1969 Woodstock Festival site (60 miles away) or The Band house and Big Pink are not part of the Tour.  Too far out, man.**
